Pender County deputies catch wanted fugitives
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – Two fugitives wanted in New Hanover County are back behind bars, after the Pender County Sheriff’s Office received a tip they were in the area.
Pender County deputies say on Monday, they received word that Hubert Santford Grizzle III, 38, and Melissa Ann Cribbs, 36, were at a home in the 100 block of Winchester Lane. That’s in the Woodhaven Subdivision in Rocky Point.
Deputies went to the home and began to investigate. Deputies say that’s when Grizzle and Cribbs ran from the home and into the nearby woods.
Deputies caught Cribbs a short time later. They took her into custody for an outstanding misdemeanor larceny charge out of New Hanover County. She was additionally charged with resisting, obstructing or delaying and is currently in the Pender County Jail under a $2,000 bond.
K-9 and Sable searched the area. Deputies caught Grizzle later that night when he was spotted returning to the home on Winchester Lane.
Grizzle was arrested on a 2015 outstanding warrant out of New Hanover County for Possession of Stolen Goods. He was additionally charged with Resisting, obstruct or delaying and he is currently in the Pender County Jail under a $2,360 bond.
