PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Board of Education approved plans on Friday for student-focused graduation celebrations.

Pender County Schools said these events will allow the Class of 2020 to gather with classmates and family to celebrate this life milestone.

The events will take place at each school’s on-campus football stadium. For Pender Early College, graduation will be held at Heide Trask. Seating is first-come first-served and family groups will be asked to enter the stadium together and sit together. Each school’s allotment of guest tickets is based on the size of the graduating class and the amount of space necessary to meet social distancing guidelines issued by state and national health organizations.
