Pender Patriots cruise past West Bladen Knights in 52-0 Shutout

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Pender Patriots put on a dominant performance on both sides of the ball Friday night, cruising to a 52-0 shutout over West Bladen.

With Pender already holding a commanding 38-0 lead in the third quarter, quarterback Austin Deal connected with Jamison Brown, who powered his way into the end zone to extend the Patriots’ advantage to 44-0.

West Bladen struggled to generate any momentum throughout the night. On third down, quarterback Gaston Russ was brought down by Pender’s Malcolm Baldwin, adding to the Patriots’ defensive dominance.

Pender wasn’t finished. Jahiem Lambe, who stepped in at quarterback, handed the ball off to Jayden Young, who broke through the Knights’ defense and found the end zone for another Patriots touchdown. Pender then converted the two-point try to push the lead even further.

The Patriots’ defense continued to keep West Bladen off the scoreboard as Pender completed a statement performance with a 52-0 shutout victory.
