Police: Person hit by taxi has life-threatening injuries

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating after a taxi hit a pedestrian Thursday morning in the 5900 block of Wrightsville Avenue.

A police department spokeswoman said the victim was wearing dark clothing and was walking in the road. She added that the person was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they have not filed any charges at this time.
