Police rule fatal fall of N.C. man an accident

MYRTLE BEACH (AP) — A North Carolina man who fell twelve stories to his death did so accidentally.

Police say 49-year-old Robert Arney of Lenoir, North Carolina, died of massive head trauma after falling onto a concrete parking lot Sunday night.

It happened at a high-rise in Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach.

The investigation continues, but police say the fall was an accident. Police Sergeant Bob Carr says toxicology reports are pending in the incident.
