Public input meeting about Water Street Parking Deck Wednesday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington City Council will hold a meeting Wednesday evening to get public input on a proposal for redeveloping the Water Street Parking deck.

A consultant recommended a development that would include parking, residential, retail and public open space.

The group Residents of Old Wilmington wants the city to stick with its vision 2020 plan to use the property as green space.

The meeting will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at City Hall.
