Public invited to discuss Cape Fear Transportation plan Thursday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — On Thursday, the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization will host the first of a series of public meetings to get input about what area transportation projects are most important to receive state and federal funding.

The first meeting will be at WAVE’s Forden Station on Cando Street. The public can stop by between 1-3 p.m. to review and comment on a draft of the Cape Fear Transportation 2040 plan

Four meetings will be held in Wilmington:
• Thursday April 2 1-3 pm Forden Station, 505 Cando St.
• Tuesday April 7 4-6 pm Hillcrest Community Cntr, 1402 Meares St.
• Monday April 13 4-6 pm Halyburton Park, 4099 South 17th St.
• Monday April 27 4-6 pm Bradley Creek Elem School, 6211 Greenville Loop Rd
