Public meeting for proposed improvements to Carolina Beach Road

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Let your voice be heard! NCDOT will hold a public meeting Monday for the proposed improvements to Carolina Beach Road.

State transportation officials want to hear your thoughts on the proposed improvements to Carolina Beach Road (U.S. 421) between Burnett Boulevard and Shipyard Boulevard in Wilmington. The improvements include upgrading Carolina Beach Road into four lanes with a divided median to improve safety and traffic flow.

The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Sunset Park Elementary School. Interested residents may attend at any time during the meeting, as no formal presentation will be made. NCDOT representatives will be available to provide information and answer questions. The meeting will offer the opportunity to provide written comments.

If someone is unable to attend the meeting, they can still provide comments on the proposal through November 30.
