Publix coming to Surf City

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) – Another Publix is coming to the area.

The company announced today that they have signed a lease on a new store in Surf City.

The grocery store will be located at Arboretum, which is the northeast corner of Highways 210 and 50.

It’s expected to open in 2018.

The company says it will hire about 140 people.
