Recount shows White, Barfield, and Kusek win New Hanover Co. Commission race

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County recount is complete and the results show no changes in the outcome.

Elections Director Derek Bowens released the results of the recount shortly after 8pm on Thursday, one month after the election.

The results are as follows:
*Woody White(REP)- 52,851 votes
*Jonathan Barfield(DEM)-49,452 votes
*Patricia Kusek(REP)-49, 390 votes
*Julia Boseman(DEM)- 49,030 votes
*Derrick Hickey(REP)- 48,965 votes
*Nelson Beaulieu(DEM)- 41,904 votes

NC Auditor results for NHC:

*Chuck Stuber(REP)-53,391 votes
*Beth Wood(DEM)-51,281 votes
