Residents invited to help shape future Wilmington park at Tuesday meeting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The City of Wilmington will host a second community engagement event Tuesday evening as planning continues for a future public park along Greenville Loop Road.
The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bradley Creek Elementary School, located at 6211 Greenville Loop Road near the proposed park site.
City officials said the meeting is intended to give residents another opportunity to provide feedback on the future park’s design and amenities following what the city described as strong participation during the first engagement session.
A presentation about the project is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Community members attending the event will be able to share ideas for recreation opportunities, park features and amenities that could be included in the development.
The city said feedback collected during the engagement process will help guide planning and design decisions for the project.
Free food trucks will also be available during the event.
Additional information about the project, along with a digital survey, is available through the City of Wilmington’s website.
