Restrictions for dogs on the sand in Carolina Beach begins April 1
CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Starting Thursday, there will be limitations on when you can take your dog on the sand in Carolina Beach.
From April 1 through September 30, dogs are allowed on the beach before 9 a.m and after 5 p.m. Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
The town says all dogs are required to be on a leash at all times.
There are no time restrictions for dogs at Freeman Park.
Dogs are not allowed on the historical wooden parts of the boardwalk at any time. They are not allowed in the Boardwalk Business District includes sidewalks, walkways, or public property east of Canal Dr. from the north side of Harper Ave. (Hampton Inn location) up to and including Cape Fear Blvd. (Gazebo area).
Violating any of the regulations above could result in a $100.00 fine.
