Rocky Point home total loss after Monday afternoon fire
ROCKY POINT, NC (WWAY) – Four people are recovering after a fire in Rocky Point left them without a home.
Deputy fire marshal Michael Carlisle says it happened around 4:30 Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Bythebrook lane.
Firefighters worked to put the blaze out but says the home was fully engulfed. One person was home at the time, but was not injured. No responders were injured either.
The house is a total loss. Several agencies helped fight the fire, which is still under investigation.
Pender Fire and EMS was first on scene followed by Rocky Point, Burgaw, and New Hanover County Fire departments.
