ROW supports Dreams
HISTORIC DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON (NEWS RELEASE) — Residents of Old Wilmington (ROW) presented one of its largest grants today to DREAMS of Wilmington. The grant will complete the dance room with mirrors and a barre.
“DREAMS provides a tremendous service to area youth with its focus on the performing arts as a means of encouraging success.” observed ROW President Robert Erb.
Added Contributions Committee Chair Dale Nixon “this was one of the first uses of our new on-line giving procedure for organizations focused on the Downtown area.”
DREAMS of Wilmington is dedicated to building creative, committed citizens, one child at a time, through high-quality, free-of-charge programming in the literary, visual and performing arts. Today, DREAMS provides programming each year to more than 600 young people through more than 60 classes per week at more than 15 sites in three counties.
ROW is the neighborhood residential association for the downtown historic district. ROW has a long and storied history in its unwavering commitment to the preservation and revitalization of historic downtown Wilmington. Since its founding in 1973, ROW has dedicated itself to improving the historic core of downtown Wilmington for its residents, businesses and visitors. The fact that ROW has been able to have such a continuing positive impact on the downtown area is only reinforced by the fact that it is truly a grassroots organization made up entirely of volunteers.
