Run for your life at the first-ever Poplar Grove Zombie Fun Run

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — If you think you could survive a zombie apocalypse, Wilmington’s Poplar Grove Plantation is the place to be this weekend.

The plantation trails will be crawling with the walking dead for the first-ever Zombie Fun Run & Walk Saturday night, and some special guests are helping out with the spooky event. The Topsail High School cross-country team will take to the trails dressed as zombies while participants run for their life.

The run isn’t all the plantation has planned to help you get into the Halloween spirit. Visitors can check out petting zoos, inflatables, haunted and non-haunted hay rides, haunted houses and much more each weekend leading up to the holiday.
