Salvation Army accepting Angel Tree applications until Friday

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Every year, The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps around 5,000 children from across the Cape Fear.

If you want to be a part of it, you will need to fill out the paperwork this week. Applications for the program are being accepted until Friday.

The annual program provides food, clothing, coats, and other wish list items to kids and senior citizens experiencing financial hardships.

Anyone who lives in New Hanover, Brunswick, Bladen, Columbus, and Pender Counties can apply.

Applications will be accepted at The Salvation Army at 820 N. 2nd Street from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until Friday. On Thursday, you can also drop off applications between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

If you’re dropping off an application Friday, The Salvation Army asks you arrive by 3:30 p.m. to go through the check off process. Seniors may apply for food only. You will need to bring all your necessary paperwork with you.
