School board to hold Penderlea public hearing
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County School board decided Thursday night to hold a public hearing on Penderlea School.
The board had originally voted to change Penderlea School from kindergarten through 8th grade to kindergarten through 5th Grade.
Parent and spokesman for “Save Penderlea School” Patrick Giddeons said that the School Board decided to table to the bond resolution.
About 15 parents spoke to board members against the proposed change. We’re told that a public hearing will be held on a date to be set to debate what the best approach should be.
