Seahawks fly into the future

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNC Wilmington said goodbye to 1,900 students and released them into the real world this weekend, much to the delight of friends and family. The campus celebrated its 79th commencement with ceremonies on Friday and Saturday.

The Class of 2010 enters a job market and economy that is still sputtering – but even for those that don’t have jobs lined up, they’re still hopeful they’ll find what they’re looking for.

“I’m hoping for a bio research job for the next year,” said biology major Gina DiFeterica. “Then hopefully to PA school.”

Anthony Police and his theatre major friends have one goal in mind, “I pretty much can speak for all of us. We all want to win an Oscar, that’s for sure.”
