Sensory Sunday event offers free, sensory-friendly museum experience Oct. 4

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Children’s Museum of Wilmington will host a free Sensory Sunday event on Oct. 4, offering children with sensory sensitivities an opportunity to explore the museum in a more comfortable environment.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and will include adjustments to lighting, noise and capacity.

Sensory Sundays are held bi-monthly and are designed to create a welcoming experience for children with sensory sensitivities and their families.

The Oct. 4 event is free to the public through a partnership with Bright Bridge ABA.

Families are invited to attend the sensory-friendly event and experience the museum at a more relaxed pace.
