Several taken to hospital after N. Kerr crash

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A head-on crash shut down part of N. Kerr Ave. this morning sending several people to the hospital, including two children.

Witnesses say when they heard the crash just before 11 a.m. they jumped into action pulling an infant and lifeless toddler from the car. They say they performed CPR and were able to get the toddler breathing again.

There is no word yet on their conditions or what caused the accident. Highway Patrol is investigating.
