Smaller class sizes means more modular classrooms for Belville

LELAND, NC (WWAY) —  A bill requiring smaller class sizes means one area elementary school will need even more modular classrooms.

House Bill 13 requires no more than 20 students per class for kindergarten through third grade for the 2018 – 2019 school year.

That means Belville Elementary School must bring in five modular classrooms in addition to the two they already have.

Brunswick County Schools spokesman Daniel Seamans says two classrooms will come from North Brunswick High School and the other three will come from South Brunswick Middle School.

The classrooms are expected to be set up and functional in time for the start of the school year.
