South Carolina armed robbery suspects arrested in Brunswick County

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — An armed robbery suspect led law enforcement on a chase through Brunswick County this morning.

The Horry County Police Departments says the armed robbery happened at State Line Pawn Shop in Little River.

The suspect crossed into North Carolina.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office confirmed there was a chase, but the suspects are now in custody.  A spokeswoman with BCSO says they arrested Cquila Isadora Singleton and Zatario Jarod Stewart.

Singleton’s bond is set at $100,000. Warrants show she is is charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, and multiple drug charges.

Stewart’s bond is set at $1 million. Warrants show he is charged with assault with a deadly weapon on a government official, resisting arrest, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

They will face charges in Brunswick County first and then will be extradited to South Carolina to face charges there.

No one got hurt.
