Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry back on schedule after mechanical issue

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — The NCDOT says the Southport-Fort Fisher Ferry is back to its regular winter schedule after running on a one-boat schedule earlier today.

This morning the Ferry Division tweeted that the route would be on a one-boat schedule do to a mechanical problem with one of the boats.

But this afternoon, the Ferry Division tweeted, “Great news! Southport / Ft Fisher ferry is back on it (sic) regular winter schedule.
