Brunswick Community College Hoopsters Sign On

Eight players from the 2008-09 Men’s Basketball team at Brunswick Community College have signed scholarships with four-year colleges for next season. Of those eight, six of the players have signed scholarships to Division One schools. This is the second consecutive year that BCC has had eight players sign with four-year colleges. Last season, of the eight that signed, five were to Division One schools. With sixteen players signing scholarships in the last two years BCC has solidified its place as the top supplier of junior college talent to four-year schools in the Carolina’s and one the nation’s best. By sending eleven players to Division One colleges in the last two years, BCC has had more division one signees than all 23 North and South Carolina two-year schools combined in that time. This past season BCC had a record of 24-7 and won the Carolina’s Junior College Conference/ Region 10 Division One, regular season title. It was the second consecutive title for BCC and the third in the past five seasons. Since the inception of the Men’s Basketball program at BCC thirteen years ago, BCC has sent 69 players to four-year colleges with 25 playing at Division One.
