State Board of Elections sets date to hear Bladen County protest
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – The North Carolina State Board of Elections will meet Saturday afternoon to consider the Bladen County protest.
Soil and Water Conservation Supervisor McCrae Dowless, Jr. filed the protest, claiming there is evidence that one person filled out multiple absentee ballots. Bladen County Board of Elections Chairman Billy Ludlum says it appears that hundreds of write-in votes for Franklin Graham had the same handwriting.
On November 20, the State Board of Elections decided that the allegations raised in Bladen have risen to the level that its staff should step in.
The SBE will hold the public meeting Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
