Supply man in NASCAR race
Supply’s Chad McCumbee began racing at the age of ten. Since then, it’s been his dream to compete against the best. He’ll get that opportunity this weekend at Pocono Raceway
when he’ll shift gears for the number 45 Petty Dodge.
The Pocono 500 will be Chad’s first ever NASCAR Nextel Cup race and his parents are thrilled to finally see their son make it to the show.
Tim McCumbee is Chad’s father. He said, “We’ve waited a long time and Chad’s put in a lot of hard work and you know, he just got the call and it’s all coming true for what he’s worked so hard for.”
Chad’s mother Jeannine McCumbee said, “He’s strived to get to this point and he’s really excited and i just hope things go well.”
Tim and Jeannine left Thursday afternoon for the raceway. They expect the drive to take about ten hours.
