Surf City announces flea infestation closes public beach access #25

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — Public officials have announced that Surf City’s public beach access #25 is closed due to a flea infestation.

The town staff found the infestation on the access point and in surrounding areas.

Crews are actively treating any affected areas and the city will update when the access is back open when it is safe for public use.
