Suspect accused of passing counterfeit $50 bills in Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, NC (WWAY) — Counterfeit cash that looks and feels real and even passes when marked with a pen, now an investigation is underway in Elizabethtown.

The Elizabethtown Police Department posted a warning to merchants on Facebook about the counterfeit bills.

According to the post, it happened over the weekend. The bills have light colored ink and so far, have the same serial# MB14412075B.
