Teachers’ cars parked at lot for rally returned after being towed

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some teachers who went to Raleigh and left their cars in a parking lot in Wilmington almost came back to an empty lot.

Their cars were left behind in the parking lot of the vacant K-Mart on South College Road.

According to Z.A. Sneeden’s Sons, the company that owns the property, there are signs posted that say “no overnight parking, K-Mart shoppers only.”

They told us no one had permission to park there but when they found out it was the teachers, they got the tow truck company to bring them all back.

They told WWAY that “it’s squared away.”
