WWAY anchor speaks at the “Results Junkie Tech Tour”

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)- Today, more than a hundred people participated in a workshop at Ironclad Brewery to learn more about how to get their companies products featured on radio, TV and in the Greater Wilmington Business Journal.

The “Results Junkie Tech Tour” kicked off in Wilmington Tuesday and will last until Thursday.

Our evening co-anchor Amanda Fitzpatrick got a chance to sit on today’s panel with fellow journalists from each broadcast group to talk to local tech start-up companies and investors about what catches their attention and gets media coverage.

Today’s speaker, investor Paul Singh says these workshops are important because small businesses are the future.

“We know that the vast majority of jobs in this country are coming from start-ups, which are small businesses, and so it’s really important that we help get them off the ground,” says Singh.

The conference will continue with meetings and allow participants to hear from different investors about how to grow their business.

And give local owners a chance to get investors to fund their businesses.

The conference will continue until Thursday.
