Temple of Israel’s Big Nosh fundraiser returns for fifth year in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A popular Jewish deli-style food fundraiser is returning to Wilmington for its fifth year, offering residents a chance to enjoy traditional favorites while supporting the historic Temple of Israel.
The fifth annual Big Nosh is now accepting orders for a variety of Jewish deli specialties, with proceeds helping support the Temple of Israel and its activities.
This year’s menu features New York-style corned beef and pastrami, Gus’s half-sour and sour pickles, Green’s babka, rugelach, black-and-white cookies, Acme whitefish salad, Matjas herring and seeded rye bread.
The fundraiser will also feature homemade dishes prepared in the Temple of Israel kitchen, including potato knishes, vegan mushroom barley soup and traditional noodle kugel.
Individual items range in price from $5 to $16, with a special bundle also available for holiday gift giving.
Organizers are also introducing a new incentive this year. Customers who spend $150 on Big Nosh food items will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win two tickets to either the Wilmington Symphony or the Temple of Israel Music Series.
The drawing will take place Dec. 14.
