WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) —Week 5 of the high school football season kicked off conference play across the Cape Fear, but weather caused problems for many teams as Friday night progressed.
Columbus County was the only area largely unaffected by the weather, while several other Cape Fear schools were forced to postpone the remainder of their games and return another day to finish them.
