‘The truth will come out’: Jungle Rapids murder suspect appears in court

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The man accused of shooting and killing a teenager outside the Jungle Rapids park in Wilmington had his first day in court in New Hanover County Monday afternoon.

Paris Duncan faces multiple charges including first degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.

This surrounding the October shooting death of 19-year-old Christopher White.

The judge set Duncan’s bond at $500,000.

Before leaving the courtroom, Duncan told the family he is sorry for what happened but that the truth will come out.

We spoke to the White family after the hearing and they simply told us they want justice for Christopher.
