Thousands attend second annual Wilmington Boat Show

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The weather couldn’t have been more beautiful Saturday as the second annual Wilmington Boat Show wrapped up.

Thousands of people came out to check out the show, which featured 145 vendors from various branches of the boating industry.

The show is put on by JBM & Associates, an event planning company out of Greenville, South Carolina.

It’s the largest show of its kind between Annapolis, Maryland and Tampa, Florida.

The gorgeous weather set the perfect stage for a fun time by the water.

“We feel like there’s a lot of positivity. Even though we’re closed tomorrow, folks are out here enjoying themselves, smiling, having a good time, visiting the vendors we have on the Riverwalk and the event lawn,” said Debbie Taylor of JBM & Associates.

The show was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, but organizers made the decision to cancel the event due to the threat of Hurricane Irma.
