Three arrested on drug charges in Whiteville

WHITEVILLE, N.C. (WWAY) — Three people were arrested on multiple drug charges following an investigation at a residence in Whiteville.
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 55-year-old Steven Best, 31-year-old Wesley Best and 54-year-old Tara Little after executing a search warrant at 1088 Vinson Boulevard in Whiteville.
According to arrest records, controlled substances purchased at the residence involved Steven Best.
All three suspects are charged with:
- Trafficking in Cocaine (2 counts)
- Possession With Intent To Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Methamphetamine
- Possession With Intent To Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance
- Possession With Intent To Manufacture, Sell, Deliver Schedule III Controlled Substance
- Maintaining a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place to Keep/Maintain a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession of Marijuana Paraphernalia
Steven Best is being held under a $125,000 secured bond.
Wesley Best is being held under a $100,000 secured bond.
Tara Little is being held under a $250,000 secured bond and was also served with a warrant for a probation violation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
