Three-day food supply from Charlotte arrives at Cape Fear Salvation Army

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Volunteers from the Charlotte Salvation Army drove a three-day supply of food to the Cape Fear Salvation Army Friday night.

Seven large vehicles made the trek from the Queen City to the Port City. The food is intended to feed 300 people for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a three-day period.

Maj. Richard Watts heads up the Cape Fear chapter of the Salvation Army. By the end of the three-day period Watts says his chapter will be able to re-supply the food and supplies in order to continue to serve the Wilmington community.
