Three face felony charges in Columbus County cases involving child

Whiteville, NC (WWAY) — Three people are facing felony charges in Columbus County in cases involving allegations of sexual offenses against a child, according to court documents.

Court records identify the defendants as Brittany Pratt, Zackery Lynn Pratt and Brenton Allen Britt. Warrants for all three cases were issued Aug. 24th.

Brittany Pratt, 31, is charged with one count of felony child abuse involving a sexual act. According to the warrant, the alleged offense involved a 9 year old child.

Zackery Lynn Pratt, 30, is also charged with one count of felony child abuse involving a sexual act.

A release order lists a $25,000 bond for Brittany and Zackery Pratt. Court records also show an attorney was appointed to represent both.

Brenton Allen Britt, 37, faces 10 felony counts, including four counts of second-degree forcible sex offense, four counts of statutory sex offense with a child by an adult and two counts of first-degree statutory sex offense, according to court documents.

The documents list Feb. 1, 2025, as the alleged offense date.

An initial release order for Britt states no bond was set. A later court document lists his next appearance for Sept. 17 at 9:30 a.m. in Columbus County court.

Court documents also list Brittany and Zackery Pratt’s next court appearance for Sept. 17 at 9:30 a.m.
