Town of Leland creates Public Safety Committee

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Leland has created a Public Safety Committee to work along with town fire and police departments and help with the protection of their homes, neighborhoods and towns.

According to a release from the town, the committee will be made up of seven members who work to express citizen viewpoints to officials, review data, make recommendations, provide input and work with organizations to promote public safety.

The town is now accepting applications for those wishing to be considered for the committee. To apply, click here. Scroll down to the Public Safety Committee section and click “Apply”. The deadline is February 23.

Selected members will be appointed in June.
