Traffic could be issue for Carolina Beach festivities
CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The holiday festivities continue in Carolina Beach tonight with the annual Island of Lights Christmas Parade.
The parade gets started at 7:30 p.m. and will travel down Lake Park Blvd. from Atlanta Avenue to Federal Point Plaza.
With road work on Snow’s Cut Bridge, be prepared for traffic coming on and off the island. You can expect the same issues tomorrow for the Island of Lights Christmas Flotilla.
Fishing boats and pleasure craft decorated with thousands of twinkling lights will illuminate the Intracoastal Waterway as they cruise from Snow’s Cut to the Carolina Beach Boat Basin and back.
The boats will compete for prizes, and WWAY NewsChannel 3’s Chris Phillips will be there to judge.
It all gets started at 6 p.m.
