Two arrested, one still wanted in armed robbery at Wilmington CVS

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two of the three suspects accused of robbing a Wilmington CVS early Wednesday morning are now behind bars.

Sterling Whitaker is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, safecracking and kidnapping. He was arrested just before 9 p.m. He is in jail under a $300,000 bond.

The first suspect, Justin Whitaker, was arrested earlier in the day.

The armed robbery happened at the CVS at Market Street and Gordon Road.

Deputies say three hooded men forced the clerk to open the register. The suspects took cash and drove off, eventually crashing.

One person is still wanted.
