UNCW Chancellor Sartarelli recovering after bypass surgery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNCW says Chancellor Zito Sartarelli is home and recovering from bypass surgery last week.

Sartarelli announced last month he’d be taking a few weeks off to recover.

In a Facebook post, the school says the chancellor’s surgery appears to have been a success.

The post says the chancellor has been buoyed by good wishes and kind words.

There’s no word how long he will be out of work.
