UPDATE: One person airlifted with serious injuries following crash in Tabor City

TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) — One person was airlifted with serious injuries following a crash in Tabor City, according to the Tabor City Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to a reported crash near the intersection of Shug Norris Road and Swamp Fox Highway East at 7:16 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24.

According to Tabor City Fire Chief Jeff Fowler, the victim was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a vehicle.

The victim was airlifted to Grand Strand Medical Center in South Carolina with serious injuries.

The victim’s identity has not been released.
