Car crashes into Wilmington Farmers Market and struck multiple individuals

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — Wilmington Police officers are currently investigating a vehicle crash involving pedestrians at the Wilmington Farmers Market in the 5400 block of Oleander Drive. Officers responded to the area after a vehicle entered the market and struck multiple individuals.

Several people were transported to Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. The Wilmington Fire Department and EMS personnel are also on scene assisting.

At this time, investigators believe the driver may have been experiencing a medical issue prior to the crash.
