Vehicle crash leads to pedestrian fatality on Highway 211

SOUTHPORT (WWAY) — At 8:38 p.m. the Southport Fire Department responded to reports of a pedestrian crash at Oakview Drive and Southport-Supply Road.

Upon arrival, first responders were pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

As of 10:30 p.m. the road has been reopened.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
