WAVE transit to be free on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — WAVE Transit will offer free rides to all riders on Tuesday, Nov. 3, in an effort to encourage voter turnout on Election Day.

WAVE Transit operates several fixed bus routes throughout Wilmington, including routes serving Princess Place, Market Street, College Road, Kerr Avenue, Carolina Beach Road and Oleander Drive. Riders can review individual route maps and schedules to plan their trips.

Polls across North Carolina will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Election Day. Voters must go to their assigned polling place to cast their ballot.
