What’s happening across the Cape Fear this weekend
Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — As the weekend draws near, Mother’s Day is Sunday, so if you’re looking for someplace nice to take Mom, there are plenty of fun activities happening.
On Friday, if Mom enjoys music, look no further than the Marina Grill, where local rock band CMB will perform a free concert as part of the Sunset Live Music Series. You can enjoy live music with beautiful scenery as the sun sets over the water, along with specialty drinks and local vendors. The event starts at 6 p.m. at the boatyard behind Marina Grill.
Happening Saturday, if you’re looking for a more laid-back Mother’s Day experience, head to Azalea Antiques for Tiffany and Tea. You and Mom can enjoy an elegant evening of wine, tea, and charcuterie. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 8:30 p.m. Participants must be 21+, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
Finally, on Sunday, if you have a crafty mom, the Mad Art Studio will host Mom and Me: Painting Butterflies. Kids and their moms can head to the studio to paint their own pre-sketched butterfly that they can take home. Tickets are $30 per pair, and the event starts at 10 a.m.
