What's Happening Across The Cape Fear This Weekend

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) — If you’re looking for a tasty treat, a fun-filled family day, or a traditional festival, there are plenty of fun events happening over the weekend.

On Friday, the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church will host the 34th annual Greek Festival in Wilmington. You can enjoy authentic Greek food, live music, folk dancing, church tours, and much more. The festival runs Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person, and a drive-through option will be available.

On Saturday the Children’s Museum of Wilmington will host a special morning of furry fun for the whole family during its annual Family Farm Day. Guests can explore the museum’s outdoor corridor as it turns into a pop-up zoo and interact with animals like chicks, bunnies, and goats from McNally’s Farm. Tickets are $5 for members and $15 for non-members, with advance purchase available online.

Finally, on Sunday you can head to Waterline Brewing Company for food trucks, florals, and funky finds at the Wilmington Funky Flower and Foodie Fest. The event starts at 12:00 p.m. and goes until 4:00 p.m., and participants can enjoy live music, food trucks, and good vibes all around. The event is dog- and family-friendly, and admission is free.

If you’re planning to spend your weekend enjoying some gyros, hanging out with farm animals, or just getting funky, those are a few ways you can get out and about this weekend.
