Whiteville man arrested following larceny investigation
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Whiteville man was arrested following an ongoing investigation into the larceny of two industrial air conditioning units.
46-year-old James Richard Ward Jr. was arrested after the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Whiteville Police Department conducted a search warrant at 212 Slippery Log Road.
The air conditioning units were reported stolen from the Gurganus Farm Store in Whiteville.
Ward faces the following charges:
- Breaking and entering a motor vehicle.
- Larceny of a motor vehicle.
- Misdemeanor larceny.
Ward was placed under a $25,000 bond.
