The FBI said Young was detained Wednesday morning and questioned, but probably cause was not sufficient to arrest Young at the time, so he was released. They said as the investigation has continued, probable cause was established.
Young is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center on a $1 million bond. The FBI said Young’s first court appearance is set for Friday in Robeson County District Court.
During Vaughn’s first court appearance, the judge raised his bond to $1 million.

After the robbery, Lumberton Police spotted the suspects driving off from the bank in a Saturn. While the officers chased the suspects, the suspects fired at police multiple times, according to investigations. One officer returned fire.
The suspects then stopped the car, fired more shots and police and then got out of the car in different spots along Old Whiteville Road in both Robeson and Columbus Counties, police say.
The manhunt spanned into the woods in Columbus County. Law enforcement agencies from across the area searched the woods. Bloodhounds were used, as well as helicopters, to search for the suspects. The Columbus County Sheriff called off the search after nearly 24 hours.
