Wilmington Brigade Boys & Girls club gets a fresh coat

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Springtime is a perfect time to spruce up around the house or in this case around the Brigade Boys & Girls Club.

As a part of Sherwin-Williams National Painting Week, volunteers with the company came out to help brighten some walls inside the community center.

The volunteers brought a lot of color with them. Many of the walls were beige, so a lot of fun colors were added around the building.

One of the volunteers, Jordan Terry, said she can’t wait for the kids to see the new colors.

“I think that they are going to be really excited. I think they are going to like the mints and greens, and pinks and purples,” Terry said.

The volunteers painted all day and their work included bathrooms, the gym and the teen center.
